Mechanical Engineer Valves (m/f/d) 80-100%

The “Mechanical Engineer Valves” is responsible for the development and further optimization of products in the portfolio “valves”. As a direct report to the head of product development valves he/she supports the development of product strategies, investigations in technologies and optimization of processes.

This position provides significant autonomy and ownership, allowing you to bring in your ideas and drive them through to implementation. As part of a small team, you will assume broad responsibility and collaborate directly with all key decision-makers.

• Development, conception, design and dimensioning of new and innovative products in the range of components for heating and sanitary technology
• Function as project manager for sub-project and full projects
• Technical analysis of product concepts and products from competitors
• Support of quality control, supply chain, product management, production and sales in technical questions
• Support of the head of product development vales in the further development of the team and processes.
• Analysis of cost and quality aspects
• Definition product testing and support of technical lab in the realization of tests
• Development of production and test procedures
• Technical assessment and feasibility studies of product ideas and market requirements
• Support of other departments in:
  - The creation of functional specifications, assembly instructions, installation instructions, operating instructions
  - The development and design of tools and aids for assembly.
  - Releasing raw materials (Quality-Control)
  - Cost and quality optimization (Supply Chain)

Required:

• University degree as mechanical engineer
• > 5 years of experience as developer of mechanical components
• Deep knowledge in production processes for metal and plastic parts
• Good experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably Solid Works)
• Fluent in German and English
• Good collaboration in teams
• Experience with project tools like FMEAs, specification sheets, Microsoft software
• Experience with FEM and CFD simulations
• Experience in project management

Preferred:

• Experience with applications in hydraulic systems
• Basic knowledge with mechatronic systems
• Experience with material analysis
