We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Environmental Control Systems Engineer to join a pioneering, long‑term aircraft development program with a world‑class OEM in the aerospace industry. The role is based in one of Switzerland’s most breathtaking regions, offering an exceptional quality of life.

ResponsibilitiesSystem Design & Development
- Develop and refine system architectures for a cabin air distribution system which includes electrical valves and electrical heaters.
- Define system requirements, interface specifications, and performance criteria.
- Support component selection, qualification, and integration into an aircraft platform.
- Create test plans, procedures, and reports for system level verification.
- Conduct laboratory and aircraft‑level testing to validate functionality, reliability, and safety.
- Analyze test data and drive corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace standards (e.g., DO 160, DO 178, DO 254, ARP‑4754A).
- Prepare and review certification documentation and support regulatory authority interactions.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and safety engineering teams.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support teams.
- Participate in design reviews, hazard analyses, and system safety assessments.
- University Degree in aeronautical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
- Minimum five (8) years experience in aerospace mechanical systems within a development, integration & certification environment.
- Experience with aircraft environmental control systems (ECS), electrical distribution systems, or similar aerospace subsystems.
- Proven experience in systems development engineering. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system architecture documents.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
- Understanding of safety analyses (FMEA, FTA) and reliability engineering.
- Data analysis & reporting skills together with flexibility for multi‑tasking activities.
- Proven strong vendor management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English (C1).
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland (EU/EFTA citizenship or valid Swiss work permit required).
