Power Electronics Engineer

Role and responsibilities

What Will You Do

• Own the full development of power electronics for our electromagnetic actuation systems — from prototype to certified product.

• Design power stages, control loops, and embedded firmware for real-time operation.

• Work across the full development cycle: schematic capture, PCB layout, thermal design, enclosure, and regulatory compliance.

• Prepare designs for small-batch manufacturing and support production.

• Collaborate directly with our CTO and Head of R&D with minimal overhead.

• Shape how we do electronics engineering as a company — this is the first dedicated role in this domain

• Master's degree (completed or near completion) in electrical engineering, power electronics, mechatronics, robotics, or a closely related field.

• Strong foundation in power electronics: converter topologies, gate driving, current control, thermal management, and EMC.

• Experience with PCB design and embedded firmware development (C/C++).

• Able to work autonomously and take ownership of a project end-to-end.

• A generalist mindset — comfortable switching between analog design, firmware, mechanical integration, and regulatory work.

• Fluent in English.

• Eligible to work in Switzerland (the canton of Zürich) — Swiss or EU citizenship, or a B or C permit.
