Internship OverviewWe’re excited to offer an internship in Flight Controller Software Development. This role is perfect for students or recent graduates who are passionate about embedded systems, real-time software, and drone flight control. As an intern, you’ll be working directly with our engineering team on developing and optimizing the flight controller software that powers our autonomous drone fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and test flight control algorithms including stabilization, navigation, and autonomy features.
- Implement sensor fusion algorithms combining IMU, GPS, and other sensor data.
- Work on real-time embedded software for flight controllers using C/C++.
- Contribute to simulation and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing of flight control systems.
- Debug and optimize flight controller performance through flight testing and log analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to integrate new sensors and capabilities.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ (required).
- Understanding of control theory, state estimation, or embedded systems.
- Experience with flight controller firmware (PX4, Ardu Pilot) or robotics frameworks (ROS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with sensors (IMU, GPS, magnetometer) and sensor fusion concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast‑paced team environment.
