We want to shape the future of energy systems. During a 6‑month internship you will work with a dynamic research team to explore how renewable energy, smart grids, and sector coupling transform power systems worldwide.

• Perform market analysis on renewables and smart grid topics.
• Derive system and product requirements based on market analysis.
• Define high‑level functional architectures for future solutions.
• Simulate future energy scenarios and technologies.
• Model emerging technologies across power system levels (DC grids, electro‑mobility, energy storage, electrolyzers and fuel cells, demand response, etc.).
• Develop, maintain and document new techno‑economic assessment tools for simulating the behavior of energy systems on different time scales.
• Build future energy scenarios on regional and global scales.

• Currently pursuing or completed an M.S. degree in electrical engineering (or a related field) less than 12 months ago.
• Familiar with optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi) integrated into simulation workflows developed in MATLAB and Python.
• Experience with renewable energy and smart grid technologies, coupled with proficiency in power system analysis tools such as Power Factory, PSCAD, or similar.
• Excellent communicator in English, both written and spoken.
• Background in steady‑state and dynamic stability analysis and modeling, fault analysis and power system protection, and energy and ancillary service markets.
• Self‑starter with a strong willingness to learn, capable of working independently while also being a reliable and collaborative team player.
