As part of our continued growth in the space sector, we are seeking an experienced Space Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in leading the development and delivery of cutting-edge satellite and optical communication systems.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of bids and projects within the space sector
, supporting the strategic growth objectives of the organization - Lead multidisciplinary teams in the development and delivery of scientific satellite instruments, optical communication terminals, and Phase A studies for space agencies
- Manage the full project lifecycle from bid phase through design, production, testing, delivery, and post-delivery support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, prime contractors, agencies, and key stakeholders while providing clear leadership and strategic direction to project teams
- Define, review, and manage project baselines, schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful and on-time project execution
- Monitor project performance by controlling costs, forecasts, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare and present project reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and decision-making
- Degree in Space Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
, or a related technical discipline - + 5 years of experience leading development projects in the space sector, including the delivery of satellite equipment and space systems
- Strong knowledge of ESA and ECSS standards, development processes, and project environments
- Experience collaborating with space agencies such as ESA, the Swiss Space Office, or equivalent international organizations
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder networks involving customers, suppliers, agencies, and internal teams
- Strong understanding of space technologies, satellite systems, and optical communication solutions
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Strategic mindset with strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex and dynamic project environments
- Proactive,
solution-oriented
, and results-driven approach - Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written);
German is an advantage
