Internship Risk Engineering

• Develop a probabilistic sprinkler effectiveness model, focusing on quantifying the impact of sprinklers on expected fire losses.
• Estimate changes in insurance costs and maintenance costs.
• Derive conditions under which sprinkler installation is economically attractive.
• Contribute to the design and testing of the model (e.g., scenario analysis, sensitivity checks).
• Collaborate with a cross‑functional team and share ideas on innovation in risk modelling and fire protection.

• Enrollment in a university or institute of higher education for the duration of the internship (mandatory).
• Current study in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
• First experience in data analysis and a basic understanding of data models (e.g., probabilistic or statistical models).
• Solid experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Python, R or similar is a plus.
• Curious mind with problem‑solving skills and an interest in risk.
• Responsible, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
• Must be located in Switzerland for the duration of your internship.
