To strengthen our team in Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced ETCS Engineer who is passionate about railway signalling, system integration, and the future of sustainable mobility.

Your Responsibilities

As an ETCS Engineer, you will contribute to the development, integration, testing, and implementation of ETCS solutions for railway projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure safe, reliable, and standards-compliant signalling systems.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Design, develop, integrate, and validate ETCS (European Train Control System) solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the engineering, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ETCS onboard and trackside systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable railway standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including signalling, systems, software, validation, and project management.
  • Participate in system integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, engineering reports, test specifications, and technical presentations.
  • Analyse technical issues, identify risks, and implement effective corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders during project execution.
Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Railway Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience working with ETCS signalling systems within the railway industry.
  • Good understanding of ETCS architecture, railway signalling principles, and system integration.
  • Experience with system verification, validation, testing, or commissioning is considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CENELEC standards and railway safety processes is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are an asset.
  • A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach with strong teamwork and communication skills.
