Telecom System Engineer
Strengthen ongoing major projects as a telecom specialist with one of our clients in the energy sector.
As part of a long-term project assignment, you will take on the professional responsibility for the technical support and engineering of telecommunications and remote control infrastructures.
Your main tasks- Professional support and engineering of telecommunications and remote control infrastructures
- Further development of data transmission, communication and remote control systems as well as creation of system architectures and concepts (including WAN, telephony and remote control technology)
- Preparation of studies, requirement specifications, preliminary projects as well as cost and effort estimates for new constructions and conversions
- Technical support of project management in the field of telecommunications and remote control technology
- Support in operations (Level 1 and Level 2 support) in fault analysis
- Ensuring the management system‑compliant implementation of occupational safety, health and environmental protection
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in telecommunications or equivalent technical training (e.g. Technician HF)
- 4–5 years of professional experience in telecommunications
- Very good knowledge of relevant communication technologies (fibre optics, WDM, IP, MPLS, VoIP etc.)
- Good knowledge of secondary technology in substations
- Experience in planning, realisation, commissioning, maintenance or operation of telecommunications systems
- Analytical and structured working style with the ability to clearly present complex issues
- Team‑oriented, flexible and independent personality
- Languages:
German (native), French or Italian (basic knowledge advantageous), English (basic knowledge) - Confident handling of SharePoint, trouble ticket systems and Microsoft Office
- Long‑term, stable project assignment with a leading company in the Swiss energy sector
