We are currently supporting a client in hiring an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role focuses on preventive and reactive quality management across the supplier base, with involvement in APQP, PPAP, and supplier readiness.
Key Responsibilities:Monitor and support supplier APQP processes for new product developments and engineering changes
Document and follow up on D-FMEA and P-FMEA activities
Evaluate and validate supplier testing equipment (e.g., MSA)
Plan and execute supplier site process and production releases for components and sub-assemblies
Perform PPAP submissions for zero-series and engineering changes
Review Safe Launch Concepts and ensure suppliers meet serial production standards
Guide suppliers in achieving and sustaining serial production readiness
Required Experience &Skills:
3-4 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role
In-depth knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes
Control Plans
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
DFMEA / PFMEA
Proficiency in quality tools such as 8D reports and 5-Why analysis
Understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) is a strong asset
Proactive, hands-on approach with a solution-oriented mindset
Strong communication skills and the ability to drive results with suppliers
Education:Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
Languages:German:
Conversational / Very good working proficiency
