Job Description

For our Direct Access Client Team (DAC) we are seeking a motivated and outgoing Cross Asset Sales professional to support us for the next 12 months. You will look to manage and expand the Direct Access relationships with External Asset Managers (EAMs) and Wealth Management DAC. The ideal candidate brings a combination of financial expertise, relationship management skills, and market knowledge to effectively execute trades and provide tailored investment solutions to meet the needs of our DAC clients.

A strong emphasis will be placed on sales exposure to External Asset Managers (EAMs), particularly with Treasury & Trading products and solutions including AMCs and UBP structured products to meet client needs and achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with External Asset Managers (EAMs) and Direct Access Clients to understand their investment objectives, risk tolerance, and product preferences.
  • Acting as the point of contact, providing proactive market insights, trade execution services, and tailored investment solutions.
  • Ideally you can leverage your strong professional network to identify new opportunities, expand the client base, and drive business growth.

A robust network within the EAM and Wealth Management sectors will be a significant advantage, as it will enable you to build meaningful connections and deliver exceptional value to clients.

Trade Execution:
  • Execute trades on behalf of DAC clients across various asset classes, including equities, foreign exchange, fixed income, derivatives and structured products.
  • Monitor market developments, analyse trading opportunities, and implement trading strategies to optimise client portfolios.
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade execution while adhering to risk management protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities to expand the client base and increase assets under management (AUM) within the DAC segment.
  • Help to further enhance the Treasury & Trading products and solutions, including AMCs and UBP structured products.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with Front Office.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Track the performance of client portfolios, analyse investment results, and provide regular performance updates to Direct Access Clients.
  • Proactively address client inquiries, resolve any issues or concerns, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Experience in financial services, with a focus on trading, portfolio management, or relationship management within the wealth management or asset management industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar role is mandatory.
  • Fluency in both English and German is required.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and trading strategies across multiple asset classes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and best practices in wealth management.
  • Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

This is a fixed-term role for 12 months based in Zurich. Due to the responsibilities, remote work is not possible for this position.
