Job Summary:

The main focus of the role is to lead Pricing and support the Business on profitability analysis for the specialty line department units. Overall, your key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Defining and executing pricing strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Partnering with underwriting, reserving.
    • Leading innovation in pricing methodologies and tools.
  • Developing and maintaining pricing models for specialty products.
  • Ensuring technical pricing reflects risk adequately and complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring pricing adequacy and profitability across portfolios.
  • Team Management
    • Leading and mentoring a team of pricing actuaries and analysts.
    • Lead Business Review that will support Partner Re portfolio optimization
    • Define and lead variety of project teams (model development, annual parameter studies, ad hoc request, etc..)
    • Fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborating with different stakeholders as underwriters, head of departments, reserving, risk management ..
    • Provide clear insights to reserving team as in Deep dive and Bridging the plan exercise
    • Presenting pricing insights and recommendations to Head of pricing
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Ensuring pricing practices meet internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

You are a Qualified Actuary or you hold a Masters degree in Mathematics or Data Science, Data Analysis or equivalent. You bring approximately 8 years of experience in Non-Life Reinsurance Pricing - for Specialty Lines (Aviation, Financial Risk, Marine, Energy etc...) - including approximately 3 years of Pricing actuarial experience. Any previous experience in managing small cross-functional teams is an asset.

    • Proficiency in pricing tools ( R, Python)

    • Experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

    • Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data and trends.
    • Ability to develop innovative pricing solutions.

    • Comfortable leading transformation initiatives and adopting new technologies.
  • Global Perspective
    • Understanding of international markets and regulatory environments.
    • Ability to view topics or situations from both macro and micro perspectives.
    • Ability to work across geographies and cultures.
  • Languages: fluent in English , Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus
