Quantitative Analyst – Energy Trading | Switzerland
I’m supporting an established commodity trading business in Switzerland with the appointment of a Quantitative Analyst as part of an ongoing front-office initiative.
You will have responsibility for the development of analytics used across valuation, structuring and trading.
The team is open to both experienced profiles who want to shape frameworks and best practices, as well as strong mid-level quants looking for a step up in responsibility.
Key focus areas- Development of a new analytics framework for asset and structured product valuation
- Close collaboration with Trading, Structuring, Risk and Front Office Technology
- Contribution to front-office systems design
- Ongoing support and enhancement of existing quantitative tools
- MSc or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar
- Experience as a Quantitative Analyst within commodities, ideally within power or gas markets
- Solid understanding of financial derivatives and structured products
- Strong Python skills plus at least one additional language (C#, F#, C++, Java, Scala or similar)
- Comfortable working directly with front-office stakeholders
