As a FATCA & AML Specialist, you will ensure the bank's compliance with Swiss Anti-Money Laundering regulations and international tax reporting standards. You will serve as a bridge between technical regulatory requirements and the Front Office, providing expert guidance on complex client structures (Trusts, Foundations, Holding Companies) and managing the bank's reporting obligations.

• KYC/CDD Management: Review and approve high-risk client on-boarding and periodic reviews according to the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and CDB 20 (Due Diligence Agreement).
• Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): Conduct specialized investigations into Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) for PEPs and clients from high-risk jurisdictions.
• Transaction Surveillance: Analyze alerts from automated monitoring systems and investigate unusual patterns or potential sanctions breaches.
• Reporting (MROS): Draft and coordinate suspicious activity reports for the Money Laundering Reporting Office Switzerland (MROS).

• Tax Classification
  :
  Perform technical reviews of client documentation (W-8/W-9, Self-Certifications) to ensure correct classification under FATCA and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS/AEOI).
• Reporting & Quality Assurance
  :
  Validate data for annual filings to the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (ESTV) and ensure the bank meets its Qualified Intermediary (QI) duties to the IRS.
• Regulatory Adaptation
  :
  Support the bank in the upcoming transition from FATCA Model 2 to Model 1 (reciprocal reporting), helping to update internal systems and logic.

• Front-Office Partnering: Act as the first point of contact for Relationship Managers in Zurich for complex documentation questions.
• Policy Development: Assist in updating internal directives (Internal Control System
  -ICS) to reflect new FINMA ordinances.

• Experience: 5+ years in a Compliance or Risk function within a Swiss Private Bank, focusing on AML and Tax Compliance.
• Education: University degree in Law or Economics; specialized certifications (eg, CAS Compliance, ACAMS) are highly preferred.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the AMLA (AMLA) , FINMA-GWV , and the international AEOI/FATCA frameworks.
• Languages: Business fluent German (C1/C2) is essential for local regulatory interaction, paired with fluent English; additional languages (French/Italian) an advantage.
• Soft Skills: High analytical precision, the ability to work independently, and a professional, solution-oriented approach when dealing with Relationship Managers.
