Investec is an international financial services and wealth management group with a strong presence across Europe and Southern Africa. Our Treasury Risk Management business has a long-standing, award‑winning reputation for delivering exceptional solutions to corporate and institutional clients in the UK, Ireland (EU) and South Africa.

As part of our strategic expansion into new geographies, we are introducing our Treasury Risk Solutions (TRS) offering into Switzerland. You will join an established Zurich office as part of a newly created team focused on building and growing Investec’s Swiss corporate client base. While based locally, you will work closely with the wider TRS team headquartered in London, where clients will be onboarded and serviced directly.

What will I be doing?

As a Treasury Sales Specialist
, you will play a key role in originating, developing and managing relationships with Swiss corporate and institutional clients. You will build Investec’s brand presence in the region, develop strong networks with key industry bodies, and introduce clients to our market‑leading Treasury Risk Solutions offering.

Over time, you will also support the identification, hiring and development of additional team members as the franchise grows.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and targeting potential clients for Investec’s Treasury Risk Solutions offering.
  • Engaging key decision makers and nurturing relationships from initial introduction through onboarding and ongoing coverage.
  • Managing the full sales cycle and maintaining regular client contact, ensuring accurate and timely CRM updates.
  • Developing a deep understanding of Investec’s Treasury Risk proposition, providing insight to localise and strengthen the offering for the Swiss market.
  • Building networks with industry bodies, professional services firms and referral partners.
  • Supporting the build‑out of a highly effective, high‑performing team in Switzerland.
  • Setting and achieving ambitious growth targets.
  • Contributing to a culture of high performance and providing high‑quality reporting to UK management.
What do I need to bring?

You will bring credible experience in selling FX and Corporate Treasury services to corporate or institutional clients, along with strong networks in the Swiss market and the ability to operate in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.

Core skills & knowledge:
  • Experience selling FX/Corporate Treasury services (FX, Payments, Interest Rates & Commodities).
  • Strong existing market knowledge and networks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships both in person and remotely.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounts, credit risk and treasury risk management.
  • Experience building and managing high‑performing teams.
  • Fluency in local languages and English.
  • Engaging with new clients and building a client base in a new geography.
  • Demonstrating hunger, persistence and resilience in converting client opportunities.
  • Building strong, trusted client relationships with empathy and diligence.
  • Developing long‑term relationships and broadening product coverage.
  • Collaborating across the team and wider bank, acting with low ego and a focus on shared success.
  • Being well‑organised, target‑driven and meticulous in execution.
