** Mission:
*** The Intern KYC Analyst will join the Zurich-based KYC Hub, supporting client onboarding and periodic review activities across all business lines of Société Générale's Swiss and German branches
* Acting as a key point of contact between business lines, Compliance, and management, the Intern KYC Analyst will ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the KYC process
* Support with the onboarding of new clients and the ongoing management of existing client relationships by conducting due diligence reviews, preparing client risk assessments, validating and updating client profiles, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
** Internship duration: 18 months
**** Tasks and responsibilities:
*** Facilitate the Onboarding of new clients and the Review of existing clients in Switzerland and Germany, by adhering to global policies and guidelines, as well as respecting all associated local, tax or other regulatory requirements
* Perform due diligence controls in relation to the identification and reputation of prospects (Onboarding) and clients (Review) including associated parties (directors, shareholders, beneficial owners) using internal, public and paid sources
* Perform a risk assessment as part of the analysis and document a formalised opinion, by focusing on the presence of potential reputational, PEP and sanction risks, as well as commenting on the purpose of the client relationship, and highlighting any other identified issues (e.g. documentation), to ensure the bank remains vigilant in the fight against money laundering and meets its regulatory obligations
* Validate/update the client profile in the referential systems to reflect the KYC assessment
* Provide advice and support to the business lines, compliance and management to ensure a smooth functioning of the KYC processes
* Perform other KYC/AML support functions, such as PEP screening
** Studies & experience:
*** University or business school ( FH ) graduate, with an under-graduate degree qualifying in the financial sector (finance, economics, law or international relations)
** Language skills:
*** Fluent business level English
* German, French and additional language skills are considered a plus

Soft skills:

*** Proficiency in MS Office tools and an interest in emerging AI technologies
* Interest in financial markets, banking activities, and regulatory compliance, coupled with a willingness to learn and develop is expected
* Basic knowledge of the Swiss and European regulatory environment, including AML, sanctions, PEP, and tax-related requirements, is an advantage
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing client information and documentation
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment
