Accountant/Controller Zurich or Zug | Hybrid Working | International Manufacturing

This is a broad Management Accountant position sitting between financial accounting and controlling
, giving you exposure to both the numbers and the commercial decisions behind them.

What will you be doing?

You’ll take responsibility for the financial accounting of selected international entities while also supporting the wider business with analysis, forecasting and commercial insight.

Your role will include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Working across IFRS and local GAAP requirements
• Managing general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets
• Supporting external reporting and working with auditors
• Analysing P&L performance, costs, margins and variances
• Providing financial insight to managers and other stakeholders
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning
• Working closely with finance colleagues across international locations
• Improving forecasting, reporting and finance processes
• Supporting digitalisation and automation initiatives
• Contributing to wider international finance projects

There is plenty happening within the business, so this isn't a role where you'll inherit a finished finance function and simply maintain it.

You'll have the opportunity to improve processes, challenge existing ways of working and help build something better.

You’ll probably already have several years' experience within accounting, with some exposure to controlling or management accounting.

You'll also need:

• Strong financial accounting and month-end closing experience
• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
• Experience working with SAP or another major ERP system
• Strong Excel skills
• The ability to analyse financial information and understand what is driving the numbers
• Fluent German and English
• A relevant finance, accounting or commercial qualification

Experience with tools such as Power Query, VBA, automation or AI within finance would be particularly interesting.

The business is changing, so you'll need to be comfortable working in an environment where not everything has already been defined.
