True Wealth is one of Switzerland's leading digital wealth managers — CHF 3.4bnunder management, 50,000 clients, with a FINMA licence as an asset managerincluding assets of occupational pension schemes. We are building a digitalfinancial- and retirement-planning service inside the True Wealth app, and weare looking for the expert who will own the quality of the advice it gives.
The roleYou are the authority on whether a financial plan is right. You define whatsound advice looks like, validate it, and stand behind it. Your expertise iswhat lets us deliver digital financial plans that our clients — and we — canrely on. This is a substantive, senior role at the heart of a new product, nota back-office review function.
What you will own- Define correct vs. incorrect advice. Author and maintain the worked, validated reference cases that set our standard for sound planning.
- Curate the planning knowledge base. Own the tax and pension knowledge the service is built on, and its annual update across federal, cantonal, and communal rules — all 26 cantons.
- Quality‑assure the output. Review the plans the service produces, diagnosewhere they fall short, and raise the standard.
- Own the rationale. Ensure every recommendation can be explained to aclient in plain language — why this course, for this person.
- Validate the tax logic. Check the cantonal tax computations against eachcanton's official calculation, and specify the logic precisely enough to beimplemented and tested.
- Meet the bar. Ensure our advice meets the relevant regulatory and professional standards.
Depending on your profile and ambition, you may also own procurement of the taxand financial data the service relies on.
Your profileYou combine two distinct lines of Swiss professional authority.
Required
- Experience as the tax reference — second- or third-level support — inside afinancial-planning or private-banking function
: the person colleaguesescalate the hard cases to. - Rigour and precision. You can turn judgement into explicit, testable rulesrather than intuition that lives only in your head.
- Fluent German and English.
We also value
- A legal background or strong legal fluency in Swiss tax and pension law.
- Quantitative and structural acumen — comfort with the mathematical and structural reality of what financial planning boils down to: models, parameters, and edge cases, and the discipline to specify them unambiguously.
- Comfort working alongside modern tooling and engineers. You are curious about how our systems reason, and you want to shape the product — not supervise it grudgingly.
- Swiss German — a plus, not a requirement.
- Familiarity with US withholding-tax and QI/FATCA documentation requirements.
You do not need to have launched a digital product, and you do not own the investment models or portfolio approach (those sit elsewhere in the firm). Youneed deep, defensible expertise and the will to make it usable at scale.
Engagement modelWe are open to a full-time (100%) hire, and equally to a fractional or advisory arrangement if that suits you. Whichever the shape, we need enoughresponsiveness that planning decisions are never left waiting on this role.
Tell us in your application which arrangement you have in mind.
- Real influence on a first-of-its-kind product, and a culture free frombureaucracy.
- Your expertise becomes the standard a whole service is measured against.
- Modern tooling as a daily part of the workflow, and engineers who want to understand your reasoning.
- Highly motivated and experienced colleagues.
- Modern office in Zürich Binz, flexible hours, and a hybrid setup with abouthalf of the week together in the office. Our values: truewealth.ch/culture .
Please note: you must hold a valid Swiss work permit to be eligible (or be an EU/EFTA national willing to relocate to Zurich).
If this sounds exciting, we'd love to hear from you.
