Position: Junior Data Scientist 100% (f/m/d)
Location: Zürich

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives with a focus on Non‑Financial Risk (e.g., Anti‑Money Laundering, Client Review or Sanctions).
  • Collaborate with internal IT and external providers to conduct in‑depth analyses and identify best‑in‑class solutions using the latest technology and the Compliance Analytics & Transformation in‑house built infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, monitor, and document predictive models following industry best practices and sound theoretical foundations.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to design quantitative solutions using different analytical principles to optimise various banking processes.
  • Assess and manage change requests raised by the business.
  • Execute regular and ad‑hoc analysis and reports.
Qualifications
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
  • 2–3 years of banking experience with a focus on Compliance, Risk Management, and Legal.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to decompose complex solutions and data insights into a compelling storyline for the rest of the organisation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, agile environment where things evolve quickly.
  • Enthusiastic about leveraging data and statistics to solve complex problems and curious to learn new things and apply out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
  • Team‑oriented and enjoys collaborating with diverse experts, listening to different ideas, and voicing your own to deliver the best possible outcome.
  • Strong database programming skills (e.g., SQL).
  • Proficient in programming (e.g., Python, R, Java, or C++).
  • Experience in project management or business analysis.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
