About Crypto Finance

Crypto Finance Group, part of Deutsche Börse Group, provides professional digital asset solutions to institutional clients. The Group comprises Crypto Finance AG, regulated by FINMA in Switzerland, offering trading, custody, and wallet services, as well as Crypto Finance (Deutschland) GmbH, regulated by BaFin in Germany, offering trading and custody services. As of 25 January 2025, Crypto Finance secured a MiCAR license for the European market as one of the first providers in the EU.

Crypto Finance AG is a SIX-approved crypto custodian for ETP issuers.

We are looking for an Application Manager – Trading to keep Crypto Finance’s trading platforms stable, available, and continuously improving. You will be the second-line owner for production incidents, coordinate releases across technical and delivery teams, integrate new institutional clients, and turn recurring issues into a prioritized improvement roadmap. The role sits at the intersection of technology, trading, and stakeholder service — the person who keeps the trading applications running and brings new clients onto them.

Responsibilities
  • Application & platform stability:
Own the day-to-day running of Crypto Finance’s trading applications, ensuring availability, stability, and performance in production.
  • Production incident management:
Act as the second-line (L2) owner for production incidents — receiving escalations from first line (relationship managers, operations, trading desk), owning triage and resolution through configuration changes, conducting root cause analysis, and escalating code-level defects to engineering (third line).
  • Release management:
Plan and coordinate platform releases with the Cloud team, engineering, and delivery partners — scheduling, change control, pre-release validation, and post-release verification.
  • Client integration & onboarding:
Support institutional clients through platform integration and troubleshooting, ensuring each client passes conformance testing certification before going live in production.
  • System configuration:
Configure and maintain platform and application settings to meet business and client requirements.
  • Ticket & backlog management:
Open, track, and manage tickets for production issues and improvements, and maintain and prioritize the backlog.
  • Continuous improvement:
Evaluate platform performance and drive improvements to reliability, speed, and scalability.
  • Delivery coordination:
Support the Product Manager on ongoing initiatives and ensure platform upgrades are delivered on time.
  • Stakeholder communication:
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, trading, operations), institutional clients, and delivery partners to ensure the platform meets business needs and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Security & compliance:
Ensure the platform adheres to relevant security, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including DORA.
  • Knowledge management:
Maintain comprehensive platform documentation and a current knowledge base.
Requirements
  • 5+ years operating or managing production-grade trading or financial technology platforms within financial services.
  • Proven experience in production incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Experience coordinating releases and change management across technical and vendor teams.
  • Strong understanding of API-based integrations and system connectivity (FIX, REST, Web Socket).
  • Working knowledge of trading systems and order management workflows.
  • Proficiency with ticketing and backlog management tools (Jira preferred).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to financial markets (e.g. DORA).
Nice to Have
  • Experience in digital asset / cryptocurrency infrastructure.
  • Exposure to market making or low-latency / high-frequency trading environments.
  • Experience with Confluence-based documentation and knowledge management.
  • Background in client or vendor onboarding and integration testing processes.
  • Understanding of custody, wallet infrastructure, or post-trade systems.
Benefits
  • Be part of an international, fast-paced blockchain and fintech team led by experienced professionals.
  • Shape the future of finance while working at the cutting edge of B2B digital asset solutions.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with flat hierarchies.
  • Take on meaningful responsibility with room for learning and professional growth.
  • Gain deep industry insights and make a tangible impact.
  • Join regular company-wide meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and team events.
  • Enjoy a modern and central workplace in Zurich with top-tier infrastructure.
Our culture
  • Innovation and Continuous Learning
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit and Flat Hierarchies
  • Values such as Excellence, Delivery, Ownership, Passion, and Unity
