Dynatrace System Engineer - Big Data

Dynatrace System Engineer – Big Data to join our team in Zürich, Switzerland, in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will design and implement observability solutions that ensure performance, availability, and reliability of large‑scale Big Data platforms. Your expertise will help drive operational excellence, proactively prevent incidents, and optimize system resilience.

• Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end monitoring and observability solutions using Dynatrace
• Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and availability across Big Data environments including Trino, Kubernetes, and Kafka
• Develop dashboards, alerts, and actionable insights for operational efficiency
• Apply proactive monitoring strategies to detect risks early and prevent incidents
• Perform performance analysis, capacity planning, and root cause investigations
• Collaborate with platform, data, and operations teams to strengthen stability and operational excellence

• Proven hands‑on experience with Dynatrace administration, configuration, and observability practices
• Strong background in Big Data environments
• Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning for Trino, Kubernetes, and Kafka
• Ability to apply proactive and preventive approaches to operational monitoring
• Experience with incident management and troubleshooting in distributed systems

• Familiarity with object storage technologies such as S3
• Experience with Dataiku
• Exposure to the Apache ecosystem (e.g., Hadoop and related components)
• Understanding of Apache Spark and large‑scale data processing platforms
