DevOps Software Engineer; Gitlab

Our centralized Software Development Life Cycle platform, based on Git Lab and JFrog Artifactory, provides core capabilities to software developers across SIX. We are looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to maintain and evolve our Git Lab platform and enhance our Git Lab components with related tooling, that empower product teams across the organization to increase efficacy and code quality.

• Take a leading role in maintaining and evolving our corporate SIX Git Lab platform running in Azure
• Design, implement, and manage Git Lab components and configurations (groups, projects, runners, pipelines, templates, shared libraries)
• Build and maintain shared CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, automations and best-practice patterns for delivery at scale
• Implement and maintain Git Lab Runners (Kubernetes, autoscaling, Docker, Shell) with enterprise-grade reliability and security
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, AI solutions, self-service capabilities and feedback loops
• Create documentation, runbooks, and internal enablement materials; deliver training and provide Tier 2/3 support for Git Lab and related tools

• 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, or SRE, with focus on Git Lab administration and CI/CD. Experience with Git Lab Premium or Ultimate features is a plus
• Proficiency with CI/CD concepts: branching strategies, pipeline as code, artifacts, environments, approvals, and compliance controls
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), deploying/scaling Git Lab Runners on K8s, Prometheus and Grafana
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Helm) and configuration management (Ansible or similar). Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally
• Team-player with good verbal and written skills in English
