Network Engineer – Palo Alto SD-WAN​/Prisma Access

For a challenging network infrastructure project with an internationally operating organisation, we are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Palo Alto technologies.

• Configure, install and operate network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN solutions and Quality of Service technologies
• Implement and manage Palo Alto SD‑WAN solutions to optimise network performance, availability and security
• Implement and operate Palo Alto Global Protect VPN solutions in combination with Prisma Access
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches, hotfixes, service packs and security configurations
• Proactively monitor network performance and ensure high system availability and reliability
• Analyse and resolve network connectivity and performance issues
• Troubleshoot complex network incidents and provide timely solutions to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud and other IT specialists
• Continuously improve network performance, resilience and security
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes and operational procedures
• 3–5 years of proven hands‑on experience in network engineering
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP and OSPF
• Solid knowledge of network security principles and enterprise network architectures
• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto ION or Cloud Genix SD‑WAN solutions
• Practical experience with Palo Alto Global Protect
• Experience with Prisma Access is highly desirable
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools, preferably Solar Winds Orion
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Availability and willingness to work on‑site in Zurich
