Network Automation Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Network Automation Engineer for a long‑term digitisation programme within a security‑critical enterprise and private cloud environment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who wants to stay close to operations while gradually taking on more architectural responsibility.

You will design, build, automate and operate complex enterprise and data‑centre networks, contribute to target architectures and standards, and help evolve modern networking in virtualised and Kubernetes‑based environments.

What You’ll Do

• Engineer and further develop enterprise network architectures and infrastructures
• Operate and troubleshoot complex network environments
• Contribute ~30% to architectural concepts, standards and solution designs
• Develop segmentation, security and integration concepts
• Automate network and infrastructure services using IaC
• Build and maintain automation tooling (Ansible, Python, Bash, Git)
• Integrate networking into virtualised and containerised platforms
• Advance network services in Kubernetes and private cloud environments
• Evaluate new technologies and run Po Cs
• Support architectural decisions and technology roadmaps
• Share knowledge and support less experienced engineers

What You Bring

• Several years’ experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or data‑centre environments
• Interest or experience in architectural responsibility
• Strong willingness to remain hands‑on
• Solid experience designing and implementing network architectures
• Deep enterprise networking knowledge: routing, switching, multicast, QoS
• Strong BGP and OSPF expertise
• Excellent Cisco Datacenter Networking knowledge
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP (IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, NAT)
• Experience with Linux‑based infrastructure
• Experience with networking in virtualisation and Kubernetes environments
• Knowledge of modern container networking (e.g., Cilium)
• Experience producing technical concepts and architectural documentation
