Role Overview

The Cyber Security Advisory (CSA) team at Ontinue plays a critical role in delivering expert security guidance and technical support to our valued customers. As a Cyber Security Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of this mission, leveraging your expertise to empower our clients and drive meaningful outcomes.

This is a developmental role that provides a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced cybersecurity professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to the ION platform and MXDR services. As an Associate Cyber Advisor, you will actively shadow the team, contributing to customer engagements, security assessments, and incident response activities. Through mentorship and practical experience, you'll develop a strong foundation in security best practices, threat detection, and risk mitigation strategies, preparing you for future growth within the cybersecurity field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement:
    Interface directly with customers, providing expert advice and in direct leadership in cybersecurity to address their unique needs and challenges.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Leverage your cybersecurity experience to deliver proactive support and guidance, helping customers optimize their security defenses and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Microsoft Focus:
    Utilize your knowledge of Microsoft security products, including Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, KQL, and the Microsoft Defender suite, to offer tailored recommendations and solutions.
  • Relationship Building:
    Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, acting as a reliable and trustworthy partner in their journey to enhance security resilience.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, attacker tradecraft, and best practices, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge to better serve our customers.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Degree in computer science or related fields
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interfacing with diverse stakeholders and providing informal leadership in cyber security matters in both German and English.
  • Understanding of Microsoft security products and technologies, with proficiency in Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, KQL, and the Microsoft Defender suite.
  • Solid understanding of attacker tradecraft and security hardening techniques, enabling you to offer valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
Nice to Have
  • Scripting/programming skills to automate security tasks and processes.
  • Experience in incident response and threat hunting, enhancing your ability to detect and respond to security incidents effectively.
  • Background in network and system administration, providing a holistic understanding of security infrastructure.
  • Experience in the managed security services industry, familiarizing you with the unique challenges and opportunities in delivering security services at scale.
