Elevate Legal Talent is supporting a leading global financial institution to recruit a Junior eDiscovery / Data Collection Analyst to support data collection and data management activities within a high-profile investigations and regulatory environment.

This is an operational and technology-focused role rather than a legal practitioner or document review position
. You do not need to be legally qualified, and extensive eDiscovery experience is not required
.

We are particularly interested in recent graduates and candidates with 1-2 years of experience in technology, data, legal technology, eDiscovery, IT operations, information management or a related field.

You will receive the opportunity to develop hands‑on experience supporting the collection, handling, preservation and transfer of electronic and unstructured data, working alongside Legal, Compliance, Technology and data management teams.

• Support electronic communications collections
  , including email and other electronic messaging data.
• Assist with unstructured data and file-share collections from relevant systems and repositories.
• Support the secure handling, processing and transfer of electronic data in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with data preservation and legal hold activities where required.
• Work with Legal, Compliance, Technology and data owners to understand and fulfil data collection requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to collection, preservation and data handling activities.
• Follow established processes and quality controls to ensure data integrity, accuracy and security

• Provide support for investigations, regulatory requests, litigation and other information‑gathering exercises.
• Learn and develop knowledge of eDiscovery, information governance and data collection workflows
  .
• Contribute to improving collection processes, efficiency and quality over time.

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data, Cybersecurity, Legal Technology, Law or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years' professional experience in a technology, data, legal technology, eDiscovery, IT operations, information management or similar environment.
• Interest in working with electronic data, investigations, eDiscovery,
  or legal technology
  .
• Some exposure to data collection, data management, electronic communications, databases, file systems or enterprise technology
  .
• Familiarity with tools or platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Relativity, Nuix or similar would be advantageous, but is not essential
  .
• An understanding of the importance of data security, confidentiality and accurate handling of information
  .
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• The ability to follow established processes and learn new systems quickly.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
• A genuine interest in developing a career at the intersection of technology, data and legal operations
