Join the Wingtra team and become part of this venture-backed robotics scale-up with a global and international team of 125+ dedicated Wingtranauts who want to see their actions have a positive and lasting impact on the world. Founded more than 9 years ago at ETH Zurich, Europe’s leading robotics university, our goal is to build the best aerial robots to digitize the world at the push of a button and set the basis for faster and better decisions.

Wingtra provides efficient and reliable data solutions to a variety of industries ranging from mining, construction and agriculture to humanitarian organizations, environmentalists and wildlife monitoring groups.

As Team Lead Procurement & Supply Chain, you will lead a team of four - two Procurement Experts and two Supply Chain Experts - and own the full procurement cycle: from supplier selection and contract negotiation through auditing and serial production management.

On the procurement side, you will manage a defined supplier panel covering hard goods (electronics, plastics, packaging materials, and commodities), as well as licenses and software. You will define procurement policies in alignment with our overall operations strategy and deploy them across our supplier base, working closely with New Product Introduction projects and our production team.

On the supply chain side, you will ensure that inbound and outbound logistics are tightly aligned with customer demand and production needs. You will keep costs within target range, and take ownership of tracking and reporting our service level and stock performance.

You will work cross-functionally with Production, Finance, Industrialization, and R&D - and play a direct role in shaping how we scale our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 Procurement and Supply Chain Experts, setting clear goals and supporting their professional growth
  • Drive Procurement activities in alignment with the overall operations strategy and key stakeholders, including Production and R&D
  • Manage procurement of hard goods (electronics, plastics, packaging materials, commodities) as well as software licenses for a defined supplier panel
  • Lead Supply Chain process improvements - design and implement lean processes with partners to support Wingtra's scale-up
  • Maintain and negotiate supplier contracts throughout the product lifecycle; own supplier performance monitoring, evaluation, and audits
  • Achieve defined Supply Chain KPIs covering quality and on-time performance
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date supplier and product data in the ERP at all times
  • Manage international logistics and freight forwarding to keep inbound and outbound flows aligned with production and customer needs
  • Act as the key interface with internal stakeholders (R&D, Production, Product Management, Finance) and external partners
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Commodity, Strategic, or Project Buyer
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Proven track record in a start-up or scale-up environment
  • Strong end-to-end procurement expertise in hard goods (preferably electronics, plastics, commodities) as well as software and licensing
  • Experience in international logistics and freight forwarding
  • Highly analytical - able to independently solve complex, ambiguous challenges
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and reporting skills
  • Experience with supplier audits and performance evaluation
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and data analysis tools
  • Solid understanding of LEAN management principles
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities across stakeholders
  • Excellent English fluency - additional languages are a plus
Plus
  • Experience in the drone, aerospace, or precision hardware industry
  • Background or knowledge in legal/contract law
  • Familiarity with certifications and regulations such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001
