Operational Buyer

As an Operational Buyer, you are a central point of contact for the entire operational procurement process. You work on‑site with our client and ensure the correct, timely, and economical handling of orders for materials and services, working closely with project teams, suppliers, and internal departments.

• Responsibility for the compliant handling of the operational procurement process for materials and services
• Checking and forwarding purchase requisitions (Banfen)
• Creating, modifying, and managing orders
• Checking and processing order confirmations
• Creating, checking, and processing operational framework agreements (in SAP and Ariba Contracts)
• Maintaining the Lean Catalog (data and module maintenance for framework contract call‑offs)
• Supporting the supplier onboarding process via Ariba SLP
• Assisting with SAP analyses and reporting
• Close collaboration with accounting (reconciling orders vs. invoices)
• Managing the central purchasing email inbox and correspondence with suppliers
• Contact person for departments regarding questions about Banfen, orders, and SAP
• Updating SAP forms and templates (e.g. Ariba Sourcing)
• Contributing to the update of internal SAP training materials and conducting training sessions

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
• Good understanding of business processes
• Confident SAP knowledge (S/4
  
  HANA – preferably in procurement)
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba (SLP, Sourcing, Contracts) is an advantage
• 3+ years of professional experience in operational purchasing / SCM / planning
• High accuracy, reliability, and organisational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Independent and responsible working style
• Very good German skills (native or equivalent);
  French and/or English are an advantage
