Plant Manager – Pharma / Med Tech Manufacturing

For an internationally operating company in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, we are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead and develop complex production operations in Switzerland.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a manufacturing professional who can bring structure, stability and measurable performance improvements to a demanding production environment.

Your key objective will be to further strengthen the site’s operational performance and support its continued development as a high-value production center
, with a focus on quality, delivery reliability, productivity and sustainable operational standards.

• Lead production operations across Swiss manufacturing sites.
• Oversee rolling production planning, material and personnel availability, shift planning and plant capacity.
• Manage production performance, KPIs, controlling and delivery reliability.
• Lead Maintenance, Plant Engineering, Quality Control and HR-related operational activities in Switzerland.
• Improve equipment reliability and production processes, including the effective management of aging machinery.
• Drive Lean Management, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure quality and compliance in accordance with regulated manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate the transfer of new products and technologies into production.
• Manage investments and operational projects pragmatically and cost-effectively.
• Develop the leadership team and establish a culture of accountability, ownership and disciplined execution.
• Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR and international stakeholders.

• Several years of leadership experience in plant management, manufacturing or production operations.
• Proven experience managing complex manufacturing environments and larger operational teams.
• Strong expertise in production planning, capacity management, KPIs, maintenance and operational improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to stabilize and improve underperforming or challenging operations.
• Experience in Pharma, Med Tech, healthcare, packaging or another regulated, quality-critical industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485 and/or ISO 15378 is highly desirable.
• Pragmatic, hands-on and entrepreneurial leadership style.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management and people-leadership skills.
• Fluent German and English skills are required.
