The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) is an association of clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals, dedicated to improving the health of people affected by allergic diseases.
With more than 20,000 members from 142 countries and over 56 National Allergy Societies, EAACI is the primary source of expertise in Europe for all aspects of allergy. To support our international Headquarters Team of 19 members, we are looking for a highly motivated Marketing and Communications Officer who is available to start immediately
.
The EAACI Headquarters is based in Zurich, Switzerland. A fully equipped workspace is provided at the office in Zurich.
You report directly to the VP Communications, EAACI Secretary General, and Chair of the Scientific Media Communication Committee, and collaborate with other team members.
Main Tasks- Development, coordination, and implementation of marketing and communication plans for EAACI projects with the Events, Scientific, and Education departments.
- Support HQ Mar Coms in their internal and external communications, as well as with outreach activities.
- Update the EAACI corporate materials (corporate video, corporate brochure, and other branded materials).
- Create and edit written content for printed and online promotional materials.
- Coordinate visuals production with external designers.
- Design visual elements for communication platforms in-house.
- Support in updating the corporate website regularly and setting up the initial structure of each event platform.
- Support with social media management.
- Support with our mass email platform.
- Coordinate promotion and cooperate with other communication channels (Journals, partnering societies, EAACI Newsletter).
- Liaison and point of contact for different EAACI projects.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
- University or higher education degree in marketing, journalism, and/or communication.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a marketing and/or communication position / content diffusion / campaign implementation.
- Experience with marketing communication in the healthcare sector is desired.
- Experience with graphic design and editing tools (i.e. Adobe Illustrator).
- Experience using email marketing tools (i.e. Campaign Monitor).
- Experience with web content management systems (i.e. Word Press).
- Experience with video editing and production tools (i.e. Adobe Premiere).
- Willingness to participate in weekend assignments at international meetings and congresses.
- Availability to start as soon as possible (immediate availability strongly preferred).
- Work in an independent and proactive way.
- Run multiple projects simultaneously, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work under pressure and respect deadlines.
- Challenge the existing and bring in new ideas.
- Interact with people at all levels of the organisation and establish a proper level of credibility.
