UX Researcher

Position Overview

As a UX Experience Researcher, you will play a crucial role in advancing the usability and functionality of Google Maps and Google Trends. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct in-depth research to gather user insights, identify pain points, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement user‑centric design improvements.

• Plan, conduct, and analyze various user research methods such as interviews, surveys, usability studies, and field studies to gather actionable insights.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate research findings into actionable recommendations that drive product enhancements.
• Advocate for the user by championing user‑centric design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize research opportunities and inform product decisions.
• Create and present compelling reports, presentations, and findings to stakeholders to influence design and product strategy.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in conducting user research for digital products, preferably in mapping/navigation or data analytics.
• Proficiency in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Experience with large‑scale datasets and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimental design.
• Previous experience with international research and understanding of global user behaviors and preferences.
