Join our Global Product Stewardship team in La Prairie R&D and play a key role in ensuring the safety of our products from development to market. This is a hands‑on execution role for an early‑career professional ready to take ownership of core safety assessments while growing within a highly experienced global network of experts across the Beiersdorf Group.
You will work at the heart of product development, partnering closely with formulation, claims, and regulatory teams to ensure safe‑by‑design innovation.
How You Will Create a Beautiful Impact- Perform independent safety assessment of cosmetic raw materials and formulations to ensure timely and compliant product approvals
- Deliver toxicological evaluations aligned with development timelines and business needs
- Oversee and interpret compatibility and skin tolerance studies, including protocol preparation and results assessment
- Collaborate with R&D teams to support safe‑by‑design product development from early stages
- Contribute to the implementation of new approach methodologies (NAMs) and evolving safety assessment practices
- Provide targeted input on specific markets (incl. China) and support regulatory submissions where relevant
- Contribute, where needed, to external industry and trade association activities
- Degree in toxicology, pharmacy, medicine, or a related life science
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience as a Safety Assessor in the cosmetic industry
- Demonstrated experience in safety assessment of cosmetic ingredients and formulations
- Demonstrated experience in interpretation of toxicological data and study results
- Ability to independently manage standard safety assessments from day one, with support from senior experts for more complex topics
- Structured, detail‑oriented mindset with strong delivery focus and accountability
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Fluent in English;
German is an advantage
