Senior Power & Battery Originator

A growing European energy trading business is looking for a Senior Power & Battery Originator to help build and develop its asset-backed BESS and flexibility business across European power markets.

Working alongside an established intraday trading and optimisation team, you will have significant autonomy to originate, structure and execute new battery and power opportunities.

• Originate and develop BESS, flexibility and power opportunities across European markets.
• Build relationships with battery developers, asset owners, utilities, IPPs and trading businesses.
• Structure and negotiate optimisation, tolling, route-to-market and other commercial agreements
  .
• Assess asset economics, revenue potential, market exposure and risk.
• Work closely with trading, optimisation, risk and legal teams to execute transactions.
• Help identify new markets and shape the wider battery origination strategy.
• Take ownership of opportunities from initial origination through to execution.

• Proven experience in European power origination, trading or structured energy
  .
• Strong understanding of BESS/ESS, battery optimisation and flexibility markets
  .
• Track record of originating and closing complex energy transactions.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable working in a lean environment.
