The Swiss Red Cross (SRC) Canton Zurich fulfills important humanitarian tasks on site in the areas of everyday support, education, and migration/social integration.

In our Education Center in Winterthur
, the two bridge programs Internship Health and Social (PGS) and CHECK-IN SRC are conducted. Adolescents and young adults aged between 15 and 24 are accompanied during a school year with the goal of sustainable career entry. Participants work on average four days a week in a long‑term care or support institution and attend the SRC Education Center for education and coaching one day a week.

• Conducting intake interviews including initial assessment with interested participants and their guardians for the two programs PGS and CHECK-IN SRC
• Acquisition and placement of internship positions in the health and social sector, including maintaining contacts and quality assurance
• Collaboration with referrers (RAV, specialist offices), administration of the two programs, reporting, and statistics (about 50% of the workload)
• Close cooperation in a two-person team and with the class supervisors/coaches of CHECK-IN SRC and PGS
• Additional role as coach for a maximum of 2 participants in the CHECK-IN SRC program and support in the application workshop if needed

• Tertiary degree in social work or healthcare with a commercial background as well as coaching experience
• Very good administrative skills for case management, reporting, and statistics as well as general digital affinity (Office 365 – advantage: Perform X, Moodle)
• Professional experience in counseling and assessment of adolescents and young adults with increased support needs
• Good knowledge of the vocational education system and the work environment in the health and social sector, basic knowledge of social insurances, especially unemployment insurance (ALV)
• Very careful working style in case management and competent in contact with various stakeholders, pronounced teamwork skills and flexibility, enjoyment of diversity regarding people, settings, and contexts
