OpportunityMission-critical workflows in the financial industry are developed using Daml and run on the Canton Network. As a software engineer at Digital Asset you will have the opportunity to impact different parts of the stack depending on your experience and skills. This can range from contributing to the Daml compiler for the SDK, working on the protocol and distributed system for the Canton Ledger, building financial models in Daml and frontends for applications, to deployment templates and governance tooling for the network.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to Digital Asset’s Scala/Type Script/Haskell code bases.
- Complement the team’s engineering strength with your technical expertise, architecture and design knowledge, and production experience.
- Participate in planning, analysis and design of the team’s deliveries.
- Develop, test and operate large-scale, high quality, distributed production systems.
- Assist other team members by providing code reviews, giving feedback and helping set direction.
- Support a collaborative approach that embraces diverse perspectives; contribute to a team where every member matters and all opinions are valued.
- You are a strong, hands-on software engineer.
- Experienced polyglot software engineer as demonstrated by either open-source libraries or commercial experience.
- Experience with developing and deploying production systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, ideally with experience writing technical documentation.
- Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related discipline; or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Based in Switzerland, in the US (specifically NY, NJ, or CT), the UK, or Hungary.
