Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Zürich

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer who will play a critical role in the integration, deployment, and operational success of our cutting‑edge systems for Swiss government clients. Acting as the technical lead on projects, you will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and tailor technology solutions to meet their unique needs. You will also collaborate with internal cross‑functional teams – including product, engineering, and support – to ensure successful implementation and post‑deployment success.

Responsibilities

and Duties
  • Lead end‑to‑end technical deployments of our software and autonomy systems – owning project scoping, on‑site integration, configuration, testing, and post‑launch support for client environments.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, translating operational requirements into engineering tasks and tailoring software or system configurations to meet mission or business objectives.
  • Integrate and validate software, embedded components, sensors, and networking interfaces, ensuring reliable performance of C++/Python‑based systems running on PX4 or related autonomy stacks.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers on best‑practice embedded development, real‑time debugging, field testing, and system integration.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, software, and hardware teams to shape client‑specific workflows, communicate field insights, and influence product roadmaps with real‑world feedback.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues in live or time‑critical environments, applying strong debugging skills across software, firmware, and hardware layers.
  • Own the testing and validation process for deployed systems – designing test plans, running field tests, analyzing telemetry, and ensuring delivered capabilities meet client expectations.
  • Continuously improve deployment workflows and integration patterns, identifying opportunities to streamline field operations, enhance reliability, or reduce friction for future customers.
  • Engage with the PX4 and open‑source robotics communities, contributing fixes or improvements, sharing insights from field deployments, and advocating for best practices in autonomy and embedded development.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or embedded systems development, including hands‑on work in C++ and Python.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and optimizing software on real‑time or embedded platforms; familiarity with PX4 or similar flight‑control/autonomy stacks is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and deployment workflows for distributed or robotics‑related systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software and hardware integration issues in field or live‑customer environments.
  • Prior experience working directly with customers – ideally in defense, government, or industrial robotics – integrating solutions, gathering requirements, and providing on‑site technical support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain engineering decisions and translate customer needs into actionable technical tasks.
  • Ability to operate independently during customer deployments, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive successful outcomes in ambiguous or high‑pressure scenarios.
  • Experience with robotics, autonomy, perception systems, or unmanned vehicles is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with hardware bring‑up, sensors, communication interfaces, and systems‑level debugging.
  • Former military or government operational experience is a plus, particularly in roles involving technical systems or field operations.
Benefits
  • Flexible working hours & hybrid workplace.
  • Stock Options.
  • Generous holiday allowance.
  • Pension plan.
  • Car parking.
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity leave.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Learning and development opportunities.
  • Regular team social.
  • Snacks & drinks.
