Guidewire Developer (Policy Center / Integration)
AboutThe Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Guidewire Developer to join our team and support the design, development, and integration of Guidewire-based insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Guidewire Policy Center, strong integration capabilities, and a solid foundation in Java and modern API‑driven architectures.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain solutions within the Guidewire Policy Center platform (or broader Guidewire suite).
- Build and enhance integrations using Integration Gateway (Apache Camel) and other integration frameworks.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring best practices in design, security, and versioning.
- Work with Gosu for entity modeling, business logic, and plugin development.
- Analyze and leverage Guidewire data model and event framework for system enhancements.
- Implement and support event‑driven and messaging‑based integrations.
- Perform data validation, SQL queries, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (architecture, QA, Dev Ops) to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting across development cycles.
- Support deployments and ongoing improvements in a cloud‑enabled environment (AWS/Azure).
Skills & Qualifications Guidewire Expertise
- Strong experience with Guidewire Policy Center (or Guidewire suite).
- Deep understanding of Guidewire data model, entities, and events.
- Hands‑on experience with Gosu, including:
- Entity manipulation
- Business rules
- Plugin development
- Experience with Integration Gateway (Apache Camel).
- Strong understanding of API development and integration patterns.
- Hands‑on experience with:
- RESTful services (design, security, versioning)
- JSON/XML processing
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Knowledge of other object‑oriented languages is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills, including:
- Query writing
- Performance tuning
- Data validation
- Knowledge of event‑driven architectures and messaging patterns.
- Clear understanding of synchronous vs. asynchronous integration models.
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable integration solutions.
- Experience with source control tools (Git).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
- Experience with SOAP‑based services (legacy integrations).
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting experience.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks:
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
