At Julius Baer, we are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zurich, Switzerland.

• Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long‑term maintainability
• Partner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high‑quality user experiences
• Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade React and Type Script code for complex financial applications
• Address advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimisation, and integration with distributed backend systems
• Proactively refactor and modernise existing codebases where required
• Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in both development and production environments
• Contribute actively in an agile, fast‑paced, and highly collaborative environment

• Extensive, hands‑on experience in JavaScript and Type Script with a strong focus on React at enterprise scale
• Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling)
• Proven experience working with design systems and large, shared component libraries
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting
• Experience in the financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
• Exposure to API security, OAuth2, and related standards
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence technical direction
• Proven ability to thrive in agile, cross‑functional teams
