We are currently looking for a proactive and skilled Senior Engineer - Java / Spring Boot to join our Global Operations & Services (GOS) team in an agile, Dev Ops‑centred environment.
YOURCHALLENGE
- Work together in a cross‑functional team using agile methodologies as part of a Dev Ops centric model
- Design, implement, deploy, release and monitor your team's applications, take part on pull request reviews
- Understand business needs by working together with your colleagues from across different divisions of Julius Baer
- Take part of planning and feature refinement sessions together with your team
- Together with Architects design software solutions that are aligned to Julius Baer's overall architecture vision
- Deliver high quality code, aligned with Julius Baer guidelines and standards
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related fields, or relevant work experience
- Knowledge and practical experience with Dev Ops principles, including CI/CD and Kubernetes
- Proven high experience in backend software engineering, particularly with Java and Java Frameworks like Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and service‑oriented architecture
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and Avro
- Familiarity with automated testing
- Pragmatic, proactive, and open-minded, possessing an entrepreneurial approach
- Enthusiastic about continuous learning and contributing to Julius Baer's technological evolution
- Effective communicator with very good English proficiency
