Forward Deployed Engineer - AI​/ML

Position Overview

Early‑stage role at a Swiss AI startup, joining at the ground floor with significant ownership and impact from day one. You'll work with in a small, interdisciplinary team in a collaborative, no‑bureaucracy environment. Client‑facing work is paired with a business counterpart, so you can stay focused on the technical side. Competitive package with equity upside expected for the right candidate.

• Background in Tech Consulting, Solutions Architecture, or a client‑facing technical role.
• Builder who solves problems, not a pure software developer.
• Fluent, production‑grade usage of Python.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Docker and cloud environments.
• Broad foundational understanding of the AI/ML landscape from data analytics to NLP, with the ability to assess risk, test outputs, and ensure reliability in real‑world deployments.
• Pragmatic, execution‑focused mindset comfortable navigating messy client environments and tight delivery cycles.

• Own the technical integration layer between the platform and client environments, from scoping through to deployment.
• Serve as the primary technical contact on client engagements, working hands‑on alongside their engineering and data teams.
• Diagnose and resolve deployment challenges across varied and often complex enterprise ML infrastructure.
• Translate client requirements and constraints into pragmatic, production‑ready solutions.
