Senior Software Engineer Process Platforms

For our technology team in Zurich, we are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and interfaces that drive the digitalization of our internal processes.

• Develop internal applications and/or configure commercial off‑the‑shelf solutions (e.g., Atlassian Jira) to meet business needs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Take ownership of new initiatives, including stakeholder alignment, requirements engineering, solution design, and system architecture, ensuring scalable and sustainable outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritize requirements, acting as a bridge between technical and non‑technical teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, processes, and standards.
• Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for software features, processes, and workflows to ensure transparency and usability.
• Act as a trusted partner by troubleshooting and resolving application issues, ensuring stable and reliable operations.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a completed software engineering apprenticeship.
• Solid experience with Java/Kotlin and a proven track record of delivering high‑quality software solutions.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in software development, showcasing the ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver impactful results.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools, particularly in configuring and operating Jira, and/or willingness to develop such skills.
• A growth mindset: eager to learn, take responsibility, and continuously develop yourself.
• Good communication skills in English (mandatory) and German (highly desirable).
