Software R&D Engineer

At ai Endoscopic we simplify endoscopy by combining it with artificial intelligence. Our vision is to innovate for a safer global healthcare system, where patient outcomes are improved by supporting the skills and procedures of healthcare professionals. To strengthen our R&D team, we are looking for a Software R&D Engineer who wants to shape our medical, clinical and simulation software.

• Develop and maintain our core medical, clinical and simulation applications — building new features and improving stability and performance.
• Develop and maintain our clinical software library.
• Build and refine the Qt-based GUI in C++ (or an equivalent GUI framework).
• Ensure reliable operation across Linux/Ubuntu and Windows, handling platform-specific dependencies, configs and build differences.
• Work on GPU/NPU and video-pipeline performance and reliability for our AI features.

• Strong C++ knowledge.
• Experience building and debugging C++ applications across Linux/Ubuntu and Windows.
• Computer-vision knowledge in a medical context.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: debugging, version control, clean code, a performance mindset.
• MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or similar (recent graduates welcome).
• Nice to have:
  Qt/GUI development, Python for tooling and automation, GPU/video technologies (OpenCV, GStreamer, CUDA), hardware interfaces and systems-level development.

Zurich, Switzerland. Candidates who can commit full-time and are already based in Switzerland or the Zurich area are preferred.
