While real-time data processing inside the instruments has been key traditionally, the tight, low-latency integration with an environment of CPUs and GPUs gains great importance now. With the Data Transfer team, you lead a small group of proven experts accelerating this transition. You will directly report to our VP R&D.

• Lead our high-performance data path team, driving CPU/GPU integration for next‑gen quantum computing instruments.
• Drive all aspects of people development in close collaboration with our HR team.
• Engage in architecture decisions for backend- and server‑SW.
• Build engineering capability, manage technical debt and optimize delivery processes.
• Own delivery of features.
• Align with stakeholders, including product management, cross‑functional agile development teams, or our Engineering Productivity team.

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years leading a software engineering team, with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Broad C++ experience in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, and interfacing with firmware or specialized hardware.
• Experience with CUDA, Python, or Rust (Nice-to-have)
• Exposure toRDMA/RoCE, high‑performance computing, or low‑latency systems (Nice-to-have).
• Background in controlling lab equipment (Nice-to-have).
