Senior System Architect - Finance & Credit; f​/m​/d our external payrol

At Julius Baer, a leading Swiss wealth management group, we are seeking a System Architect to join our global IT Architecture team. The role focuses on designing and overseeing solution architectures for applications delivered across the organization.

• Design and own the solution architecture for applications in delivery.
• Ensure that solution architectures in delivery adhere to architecture standards and align with the target architectures of the domain.
• Raise and manage architecture debt when there is a misalignment between transition and the target architectures.
• Initiate architecture decisions, document them as Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and obtain approval from the relevant architecture boards.
• Advise and coach software engineers on implementing solution architectures and ensure technical feasibility.
• Support later phases of the software lifecycle, including testing, release and operations.

• 3+ years of experience as a senior architect and 5+ years as a lead or senior software engineer.
• Responsible for solution architectures from design and implementation to operation.
• Ability to identify options and make trade‑off architecture decisions.
• Experience with SAP solutions – S/4
  
  HANA, BW/HANA, BTP.
• Good understanding of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, IFRS and Swiss GAAP in financial service industries.
• Analysing complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Ability to abstract complex topics and focus on key issues requiring architecture decisions.
• Collaboratively develop and coordinate solutions with business and technology stakeholders and architecture colleagues.
• Proactive mindset, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proven experience in solution design and knowledge of current architecture styles such as event‑driven, microservices, modular monolith.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English (verbal/written);
  German is beneficial.
