Technical Lead Embedded Software

Job Description

• Lead and support a team of Embedded Software Engineers
• Plan and manage embedded software work packages
• Translate system requirements into detailed software requirements
• Coordinate resources, timelines, and technical deliverables
• Drive effort estimation, planning, and risk management
• Ensure software quality and timely project delivery
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Support product industrialization within a structured Waterfall environment

As a Technical Lead Embedded Software, you will lead embedded software development activities within an R&D environment responsible for product industrialization. You will provide technical leadership to software engineers, manage software work packages, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and translate system requirements into detailed software solutions.

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5-8 years of Embedded Software Engineering experience
• 5-8 years of Technical Project Management experience
• Strong experience with Embedded Software development
• Solid knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and C++
• Experience with model-based development and automatic code generation is an advantage
• Proven experience translating system requirements into software requirements
• Experience leading technical teams and coordinating software deliveries
• Strong planning, estimation, and risk management skills
• Experience working in Waterfall development environments
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Codebeamer
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Quick learner with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset
• German and English at professional working proficiency
