TCMS Software engineer

For our Transport & Industrial Services team, Techfirm Engineering is looking for a TCMS Software Developer ready to take on exciting challenges and grow with us in Turgi, Switzerland.

You will join a multidisciplinary traction team responsible for the development and validation of embedded software for railway rolling stock. You will work on the full software lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to on-site commissioning.

• Design, develop and validate TCMS (Train Control and Management System) software for traction systems
• Program control units in accordance with IEC 61131-3
• Implement and test MVB (communications and analyse network traffic
• Write technical specifications and documentation, and provide support during vehicle commissioning

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Automation or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in TCMS software development or embedded industrial control systems
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61131-3
• Proficiency in at least one programming language:
  Java, C/C++, Python or C#
• Experience with version control (Git/SVN) and requirements management tools (Doors, Polarion) is a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  French or German is an asset
