About the role

The software on our Ultrasound acoustic cameras is at the core of Distran technology, with focus on high quality, reliability, and real-time performance. Together with the software team, you will help Distran develop and innovate our acoustic cameras and help us further meet our customers'  part of a Scrum-driven cross-functional agile software team Develop high-performance modern C++ and Python code Implement fast and resource-aware video processing pipelines

Develop supporting services that empower real-time leak detection and quantification

Understand customer requirements and write technical requirements

Ensure the high reliability of the product

Automate, optimize, test, and document systems, processes, and business functionalities

Participate in the team effort in code review, testing, documentation, and task organization

Help shape how our team works with AI coding tools, from day to day practice to the conventions and guardrails that make the output reliable

Your profile

Requirements

Three years or more of experience in software development

Strong knowledge of modern C++ and Python Comfortable with Linux command line tools

Works fluently with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code, and can explain where they speed things up and where they need close review

Interested in learning new technology stacks and working in a cross-functional environment

Good to have

Experience with CUDA or other GPU-accelerated computing

Embedded systems experience (e.g. Yocto, cross-compilation, resource-constrained devices)

Experience with Qt/QMLMessaging interfaces (e.g. ZMQ)
Experience writing pipelines with GStreamer Dev Ops  experience (Docker, Jenkins) Languages Fluent English The list of tasks is not exhaustive. The job holder is expected to shift focus between them as required. This job description will be reviewed and adjusted as needed.
