Reporting to the Cargo Operations Manager, Switzerland and Italy, the Cargo Operations Agent deals with cargo service providers and customers both on the operational and commercial sides.
Responsibilities- Administrative duties as required & directed by the Cargo Operations Manager
- Handle incoming calls from the customers, booking of freight in AC Cargo systems Weblynx
- Implement load plan and coordinate with warehouse / ramp team to ensure best use of available space/weight for each flight
- Check of Dangerous Goods documentation and export documentation
- Monitoring of ULD stocks and managing movements to secure operational stock levels
- Perform S4A/smartload entries (weight & balance), monitor and coordinate ramp activities
- Follow and adhere to Cargo procedures and policies, compile flight documentation files
- Report any safety and/or security issue with regard to the cargo operations (shipments, equipment, loading, etc.)
- Maintain a constructive continuous working relationship with all internal and external customers and service providers
- Actual duties and responsibilities may include any or all of the functional duties & responsibilities listed above plus any other related tasks as assigned by the employee’s superior
- Post graduate degree or diploma in freight forwarding or airline is an asset
- Previous experience in cargo sales and/or services (6 – 24 months)
- Knowledge of dangerous Goods is an asset
- Knowledge of Cargo IT systems is an asset
Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment. Prior to their start date, candidates will also need to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the country of interest.
Linguistic RequirementsBilingual (English and German). French & Italian languages are an asset
