FPGA Engineer

FPGA Engineer – Enschede  We are supporting an innovative engineering company developing advanced electric propulsion and power electronics technology for aerospace and industrial applications. They are looking to add an FPGA Engineer to their product development team, helping to deliver next‑generation high‑speed electrical systems that support a more sustainable future.
This is a hands‑on role where you'll work across FPGA development, testing, and system integration within a multidisciplinary engineering team. You'll contribute to new product development while also researching emerging technologies that will shape future generations of high‑performance electrical systems.
Responsibilities   Design, implement, and verify FPGA firmware.
Develop software tools to support testing and validation.
Produce the documentation required for certification and product development.
Collaborate with electronics and systems engineers throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Qualifications   FPGA development experience using VHDL.

Experience with FPGA verification, simulation, and debugging.
Knowledge of Xilinx FPGA architectures.

Experience with scripting or software development using Python, MATLAB, or TCL.
Understanding of FPGA development life cycles and engineering documentation.
Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience with embedded software, model‑based design, or Simulink HDL Coder is advantageous.
