Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead the engineering activities for high-voltage infrastructure projects. In this role, you will provide functional leadership to a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists, ensuring that integrated technical designs are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project objectives.

Vacancy information
You will be responsible for overseeing the complete engineering process, from the tender phase through design, execution, commissioning, and project completion. Working closely with project management, execution teams, clients, and suppliers, you will ensure that technical solutions meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

On a daily basis, you will:

Coordinate all engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage the engineering scope and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Plan, allocate, and coordinate engineering resources across disciplines.

Monitor engineering deliverables and ensure quality standards are met.

Ensure engineering milestones and deadlines are achieved.

Work closely with the Lead Primary Engineer, Lead Secondary Engineer, and Detail Engineering Leads to coordinate engineering execution.

Identify and manage technical risks while supporting efficient project delivery.

Ensure engineering output is integrated, compliant, and supports the successful realization of the project.

What do you need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related technical discipline.

Proven experience managing engineering activities within complex infrastructure or high-voltage projects.

Experience providing functional leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Strong knowledge of integrated design processes, systems engineering, and project-based engineering.

Experience with technical planning, risk management, interface management, and engineering documentation.

Solid understanding of high-voltage installations, electrical infrastructure, or energy projects.

Familiarity with applicable safety standards, engineering guidelines, and quality requirements.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines while maintaining focus on quality, safety, and project objectives.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent in Dutch and English
